La Lanterna And Cafe

I decided to celebrate my birthday here, and I was so happy I did! To start, the portions are HUGE. the place was pretty packed out for a Sunday but I think that was partially because it rained earlier in the day and people were moved inside, but either way make sure to make a reservation. We started with calamari, and we got the vodka cutlet and the lobster pasta in vodka sauce. Everything was cooked perfectly and the vodka sauce had a little bit of spice to it. To my surprised they had a styrofoam cake with a sparkler for birthdays and it was a fun touch. We got the tiramisu for 2 and I could eat that all day everyday.

Great place with good food! This place has a nice atmosphere, it was Thursday and we had to wait to get a table because the place was full. The service was very good but a little slow due to high demand. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. You can go as a family, with friends or as a couple and you will have a pleasant dinner experience with this food. The lobster ravioli is highly recommended. The meatball ravioli and the branzino special were also delicious. I loved the place!

Went for a friend’s birthday. They should not take reservations if they close the kitchen at 9. Food was good, large portions but I ordered a spicy lobster penne which has half a lobster tail… name is misleading. It had more small little shrimp than lobster. The tail was more of a garnish, but it was well seasoned. We ordered the cannoli’s they were good but too many. They should have an option for less. Nice atmosphere.

I haven’t been to this place since the remodel and wow- the outside is beautiful and a great place for lots of pictures. I sat at the bar, and the bartender, Marcella made me feel so comfortable and welcomed. We had a great convo like we were old friends. Def a place to come back to. A Yonkers staple.. hard to get a reservation but now I realize why. Food is amazing and atmosphere is very inviting. I like traditional italtian dishes ie: fried calamari, penne alla vodka, chicken parm.... they do these dishes well.. yes I will be back
