American skiing has things all wrong. The French know what's up! You ski on the beautiful Alps and somehow in the middle of nowhere, poof, a beautiful small chalet appears that's serving world class food and bottles of French wine at incredibly reasonable prices?! Yeah, that's Morzine! We popped in here in a day that visibility was quite low to ride out some of the storm and we ate and drank like queens! I'm always amazing that no detail is spared even on the side of a mountain in the middle of nowhere. Amazing selection of wines and then huge portions of food all freshly prepared. This little restaurant is on the ski slope down to Linga on the right as you come down and it has a real open fire in the middle of a seated area so you can gather round and dry out warm up. We didn't actually eat here but the food looked really good
we ate well in this restaurant, prices are correct but the service really leaves to be desired. Ice hosting, we felt like we were disturbing the server. It would be nice to improve the reception, just a smile it can help.
often stop here for coffee or hot chocolate or, if later, then for lunch whilst out skiing. Friendly welcome and not full of the people one tries to avoid in the big impersonal restaurants.

If you are in the Linga area then I recommend you go here for lunch. Good service, good freshly cooked food, and all at an acceptable price.
