We called ahead to book and Roberto (more about him later) said we could book for 8 but the table was booked again at 9:30. We decided to go along and are glad that we did. On our arrival Roberto welcomed us and seated us quickly but in a very friendly way. As it was our first night out in Spain our Spanish was non-existent but Roberto helped us through the menu (even getting items from the kitchen to explain when we did not understand). The anti-pasti was excellent and accompanied by lots of bread and a glass of wine. My tuna with a pistachio crust was divine whilst my wife went for linguine with prawns, artichoke and clams which was superb. Roberto’s wine suggestion was also great. The dinner was rounded off by complimentary mini tiramisu as we were too full for desert. The food was great, the atmosphere relaxed and friendly and the service from Roberto was excellent. Thoroughly recommended but book ahead to avoid disappointment
La Locanda Dei Sapori is an Italian restaurant situated in El Vendrell. This restaurant offers authentic Italian food. The chef and the waiter are Italian and many ingredients are imported directly from Italy. My favorite dishes are fresh pasta with seafood and meat tagliatta with parmesan cheese. The best dessert is the pannacotta with red fruits. Another good option would be handmade pizzas. I enjoy them a lot. If you want to eat in this restaurant, its better that you make a reservation because the restaurant is very small. They have only seven or eight tables for the guests. It’s a familiar restaurant for launch and a romantic restaurant for dinner. The price is not very expensive. About 20 euros per person.
Quite simply some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had anywhere (including in Italy! . Very small restaurant in a side street w/only 5 6 tables. Authentic home made pasta w/incredible sauces! I can’t recommend it highly enough you will not be disappointed!! Reserve asap!
