Fortunately I was skiing with some well-versed three-valley, experienced skiers who knew exactly where La Loy was placed, just off the piste du Biolley - miss the little track off and you are in to St Martin de Bellville! This is a very worthy lunch-time spot. Great look-out from the al fresco decking and blessed with calm, warm sunshine (as we were) then there is hardly a better way to spend a ski-lunch time virtually on the slopes. Very good and polite service, with some excellent fare on offer - I had the soup de jour, but could have easily piled into some of the other wonderful looking dishes coming to other tables. Great place to sit out - we got there early (12.30) - by 1.15 the outside was getting deservedly busy. Next year, again!
This is a long time favourite lunchtime spot whilst skiing the 3V. Unlike other restaurants it is tucked away on the run down to St Martin and without the signage beside the piste you might never know it was there. There's a great menu, very well cooked and presented food and, above all, super efficient but friendly service. Pricing is very fair too.If the sun is out the terrace is a wonderful spot too.
Il locale è in una bellissima posizione, ma è fatiscente. Fuori sembra di essere nella Cortina degli anni '60. Il servizio è molto buono, non c'è che dire, ma purtroppo la scelta del menù è la stessa del 80% dei ristoranti di montagna del 3V e il conto non è certo economico.No, non riesco proprio a consigliarlo (e non so come faccia ad avere solo voti altissimi).
Located just off to the left as you head down the Biolley blue piste to St Martin de Belleville, La Loy is a little hidden gem. Always very popular, and you can immediately see why; very good food and friendly service at a sensible price (2 courses plus a small beer and a glass of house wine for under EUR35). Recommended.
