La Lucarne aux Chouettes

Our party of 5 enjoyed an excellent evening meal. Excellent food and service. As previously noted service wasn't exactly speedy but in the nature of a balmy summer's evening that didn't detract from our experience. They're closed Sunday evening and Monday. Very busy when we were there - might be worth booking in high season. 03 86 87 18 26. And Villeneuve sur Yonne is a stunning place to enjoy a wander.

Fabulous food, wonderful romantic setting looking out over the river, lovely waitress. Really a perfect evening. The lock keeper told js this was the best place and he was absolutely right. we had the salmon for starters and the lamb chops. And then we got cheese AND pudding. We felt very spoiled. A perfect night out after a long day of boating along the heavenly Yonne. Thank you so much!

Had a really lovely dinner here. Menu appears to change weekly, with half a dozen choices for each course. After eating at several "fine dining" restaurants during our holiday, we loved the food here - no fancy smears or blobs, just simply presented and very well cooked food at a very reasonable price. The service and decor make this a very attractive place to eat.

We had lunch here the last week of June 2012.We are experienced travelers to France.I could not believe how poor the service was. The food when it finally arrived was very average at best and expensive for what we had.We skipped dessert because it took so long for the main courses.We would not go back.

Been here for a business evening with 12 people. Not a big restaurant, one serving all tables, super friendly and perfect service! Menu card is not that big but will suite everybody. Very nice food! Good wine. Restaurant is an old farm and gives a cosy atmosphere!
