La Luge - Reservar una mesa

Having decided we were ‘only going to have the one’.... not being particularly hungry, we read the menu, smelled the cooking pizzas and promptly decided we’d have two. We could always take leftovers on the slopes the next day, right? Yes sure. Margarita and a Notre Dame (veg feast) ordered and ready to go in ten minutes, we arrived back at our gite and devoured them both. Dare I say it felt ok to do so as they seemed ‘healthy’?? They were so fresh and the toppings like they’d just been picked, it didn’t feel like ‘naughty pizza’. So if after a day’s skiing/boarding (or not) and you feel like a takeaway treat without the guilt, this is the one.

We booked a table at La Luge for our family of five and our friends- another family of five. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the restaurant atmosphere was very cosy and warm. The menu is good and it’s available in English which was helpful. Food was excellent and the service was great, especially as we were a big group. Our teenage children really liked the pizzas and the kebab that you cook yourself. All in all, we had a great evening and would recommend this restaurant very highly.

We have eaten here for many years since buying an apartment in Montalbert. The previous owner had built a loyal following we were worried when we heard that La Luge is under new ownership what a treat to find that the food is still fabulous! We enjoyed delicious pizza, fresh and generous toppings and a very tasty salad with imaginative combination. Very friendly service. Looking forward to our return in the Winter.

The Luge has a new owner, Fred, and if it is to keep it's good reputation, things need to improve. On our visit, the service was slow and haphazard and the food not up to scratch although those eating pizza said they were ok. We really hope it gets better as the season goes on because we'd like Fred to succeed.

Wonderful meal with the family in La Luge tonight. The food was excellant, especially the salmon gravalax and the vegetable gratin. Beautiful views and nicely decorated. A warm welcome from the owner who couldn't have been more obliging. Will be back again soon.

Dinner on our last evening in Montalbert limited menu but compensated by the quality of authentic home prepared food. Discerning offer of selected wines to compliment their dishes. Highly recommended will certainly dine there again on our next visit.

Great service, very friendly! Interesting and unique way of serving beef on a sable. Very good value for money. Only room for improvement was the choice of menus which was offered to us. Real recommendation for a relaxed enjoyable dinner.

Ate here twice during a family ski trip. Really friendly waitress and very nicely layout resturant. Mainly a pizzeria, but some other options are available. Good value so I would definitely recommend!

Excellent charcuterie! the melting (in the ceps) was really excellent very good ice also a warm welcome
