Employees are supposed to know the food menu. I recently came to get a soup for my nephew and the “cashier” at the establishment ONLY pointed out towards the screen; since I wasn’t guided AT ALL , I just ordered a potato soup and a kale salad the potato soup had bacon) , which I CANNOT EAT AT ALL!!!!!!! I could not eat the food I ordered so I proceeded to take it to go, the. asked for a plastic bad to take my food … and the lady with attitude and sarcasm said “we do not have such a thing” …. IN CONCLUSION: I BELIEVE THAT IF IM SPENDING MY time, money and energy to go to a place where I’m supposed to be treated with respect, and I DON’T, me as a customer WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN AT ALL. I ordered a cake from a bakery two days ago and arranged to pick it up today between 7-8 am. I made sure to place the order ahead of time because it was a large cake. However, when I arrived this morning, I was informed that my order had not been placed and they only had one cake available, which was damaged and not suitable for sale. I ended up leaving with a smaller cake that was only half the size of the one I needed. I regret purchasing anything at all and this experience has ensured that I will not be returning to this bakery in the future.
The food is good but the service is not the best. I placed an online to-go order and when I arrived it wasn’t ready. I asked and they said that someone had picked it up. I told them it wasn’t me and that this was the second time that happened. I had to actually ask them to remake it because they didn’t offer to do so. All they kept saying was “I remember the order, but somebody picked it up already”. On top of it they move super slow and took forever to get me my food. The food is good but it’s not worth the hassle.
Of all the La Madeleine locations I've visited, this one was the worst. The French onion soup was lukewarm instead of hot, my croissant was so hard it could have injured someone if thrown, and I was disappointed there was no bread and jam option—thought that was a long-standing Dallas tradition. Additionally, there was nearly a 10-minute delay between my friend’s order arriving and mine, even though we ordered together.

I dined at the Preston Forest location for dinner. The quiche tasted dry and stale, as if it had been sitting out for a while. My son's grilled cheese was also disappointing—it wasn’t truly grilled but more like bread and cheese warmed in a microwave. When I shared my concerns, they kindly offered to take the meal away. While the breakfast was enjoyable, the dinner unfortunately fell short.
Service is terrible. Forgot part of our order. When we called, lsaid to call 5 minutes before we got there. Did that. Ended up having to wait over 30 minutes for one thing. We gave up and asked for a refund for the missing item. That took an act of congress. Will not eat there again or recommend to anybody.
How is this place still open? Food is awful! Quiche Lorraine is now served in tin pan. Obviously microwaved as pale, uncooked crust. Egg filling is strange texture. Sad as once upon a time they used to be great.
I really enjoy the coffee and the delicious croissants at this restaurant. The atmosphere and the fireplace create a fantastic dining experience.

Although the restaurant might appear a bit run-down, the coffee and cappuccino are surprisingly excellent.
