Let me just share that we have visited this location for about 20 years now...Not that we are old. My inlaws knew good food in the area when I initially moved..we have been since taking our kids. And now our son his daughter. The food is always consistent. We are frequent visitors to RockNWheels down the street and decide that our money is better spent on small businesses then Portillos. (Not that we do not love a good Portalimules visit..in the burbs it has become common). Their shredded chicken anything is freakin amaz. Burrito, tacos..I prefer mine with minimal filler so that I can taste the goodness...the food is brought out fast and fresh. The service however can be hit or miss. Let's j...
Went here with some girlfriends for dinner. Server was very nice and checked in on us frequently getting us anything we needed. I ordered the steak fajitas, it was 24$. Most of my plate was green peppers and onions and small Amount of meat. For $24 I think they could spring for some red and yellow peppers. I honestly hate green peppers lol they just taste like they need more time to grow . My cousin got Chicken fajitas and her plate was the same. The flavor of the meat was good though, portion of rice and beans was small and just OK. Their chips and salsa and pretty decent too. Over all everything was good, not spectacular. Server was great though. I would go again, maybe try something else....
Excellent local Mexican food! The meal starts with mild and hot fresh salsa and chips. The empanadas were well stuffed, both the beef and chorizo were great! The Flautas were a great size, and cooked wonderfully. Their al pastor pork tacos were better than all in the area! I just want to take home a container of it. Long established, low-key and clean inside. The staff is professional, mature, and not pushy. Will definitely be back! Make this your favorite destination for delicious entrées! The appetizers and drinks are fantastic too! The staff is friendly and hardworking, and the prices are very reasonable. We live nearby and really need to visit more often!
