La magdeleine - Reservar una mesa

So we were out for an evening stroll, still in the heat of the August summer. We needed a pre dinner drink and came across this lovely bar in the lea of the cathedral (fantastic architecture great ambience) We sat outside and waited for what must have been 10 mins before the waitress finally arrived (I was on the verge of leaving) I realise that we were on holiday, and we did have all the time in the world and I know that different nationalities have different time scales but it just felt like we were left. Shame really because the environment was lovely and the beer was fantastic

La Magdeleine is a nice bar in the middle of town. There is typical continental style seating outside, but I actually preferred the cosy inside area, as do most of the locals it would appear. With very friendly service, we found this to be a nice place to have a beer and simply soak up a bit of the local atmosphere.

This is centrally situated, near the Basilique. The service is friendly. We were there at lunchtime. We had ‘une assiette’, salad with bacon and grilled goat cheese. The portion was generous.

Excellent A restaurant well worth a visit in the square in lovley surroundings very close to the tourist information office

my wife and I we both enjoyed our lunch at this café, the food was good, the staff pleasant and the location excellent
