Since we were quite hungry, we decided to make our late lunch our main meal of the day. My son started with a Caesar salad, which was good, but for some reason, it was overloaded with croutons—there had to be at least half the salad made up of them! It was likely a funny mistake, but luckily, the croutons were tasty, so he shared some with my wife, who had ordered soup, and with me since I didn’t have a starter. While driving between Montreal and Quebec City, we decided to take a short break and veered off the expressway. We stumbled upon this charming spot on a street bustling with sidewalk cafes, located in the downtown pedestrian mall near the waterfront. I tried the Le Carlito burger, which was a delicious and flavorful bacon cheeseburger served on a warm, buttery brioche bun—it was absolutely excellent.
