La maison de Marie Caroline

I loved this place! While in Châlon-en-Champagne for a few days I ate here for lunch and dinner on the last day. If only I had found it on the first! The staff were amazingly warm and welcoming. (And very helpful to someone with terrible French!) The food was as lovely as the atmosphere, in particular the desserts - pure homely and delicious. If I'm ever back in this city this would be my first stop. I ate in a lot of restaurants there, and you can't beat the warmth and attention I got here, it's a lovely spot. Highly recommended!

Stunning characterful building, equally stunning inside. Immaculately clean accommodation/cafe/restaurant and very friendly, lovely staff. Wish we could have stayed for lunch but enjoyed breakfast immensely. Tea and apricot cake for breakfast..... I'm sure I died and went to heaven! x Lovely town with some nice parkland very close. Fantastic history. And very friendly local people. Can't recommend enough.
