La Mandarine was recommended by friends who stay regularly in Cannes-Mandelieu. All I can say is that on our visit the place fell way below our (relatively modest) expectations.It is small - which in itself is no problem, but when many of the tables are occupied, as was the case when we arrived, the single waitress just could not cope. Getting served anything took ages, and when the food arrived it was poor. The simple chicken dish was overcooked and hard - unforgivable for something so straightforward and betraying a chef that clearly didn't care. Apparently his 'signature' dish is the 'ribs' - a great length of burnt ribs in a blackened sauce. Maybe this is good, but who wants to eat food...
We only eat Beef Carpaccio where we know the meat is sourced well so did not hesitate to order it here. It was quite delicious - even by La Mandarine standards. The other starters were freshly prepared and tasty. Go for the higher priced menu as it is such good value at under 30 euros (I can't remember the exact price) All of us agreed it was the best meal we had during our stay taking in to account price, service, ambience and food. We enjoyed excellent service when we ate there however customers should appreciate that everything is cooked to order so if there is a little wait then it is worth waiting for! Try to book ahead as it is small but very popular
Very special place, nice, you feel at home. Menu not exaggerated, usually synonymous with quality and in fact so it was. We ordered the pig ribs that were sublime! Sauces and chips, to try! Only flaw, at the time of ordering we were told that one of the two dishes chosen and the wine were finished, perhaps better to inform immediately so the customer prepared part. However positive experience in a very nice country!
It is small, nice and cozy. Some 2-3 tables on the sidewalk, indoors the decoration is nice, warm, eclectic; everything but trendy. Love it.. Nice service, good food and priceworthy. I do recommend it. Everytime I come to Mandelieu I want to go there.

They have a very good menue. They serve the Rivieras best spare ribs. For starter I can recommend grilled clams. The restaurant is small with few tables., so... Book in advance. Bon appetit
The food we eat was of average quality, the service and waiter (i think owner) was rude. i think the owner is bored of his job. may be he should hire some friendly staff .
The room is not big, so think about booking! Excellent cuisine, congratulations. Very good wines. And a very friendly boss with a very appreciable communication facility.
Make sure you reserve, bustling restaurant in La Napoule, lots of character, good food and excellent service. Only downside no outside space but don't be put off.
