We came as a family one day when we wanted to see the sea. Rather than going to a tourist restaurant by the beach, we preferred to have lunch at the Mare au lièvre, 20 minutes from Cabourg, and taste the products premises (Pont l'Eveque is right next door). The setting is pretty, the road passes at the end of the garden but it is not annoying. The countryside is magnificent. Friendly and efficient service. The children really enjoyed their breaded bishop’s bridge, the galette and the crepe. The adults also appreciated (fish rillettes, pancakes and lost brioche). We were staying close to this restaurant so we went a few times and really enjoyed the food the cidre and the wine, is all locally sourced and delicious, if you are into tripes that is the dish to ask for. Make sure you leave room for the desert (see pics! . The actual restaurant is lovely and has an outside area and parking, totally recommend it and the price is very good too for what you get.
