This is a glorious tapas bar in amongst many similar bars in the area. We called in and ordered 4 drinks and we were given 4 tapas. A second round of drinks and a second round of tapas was given. All the tapas dishes were delightful. The staff were also lovely and friendly and chatted with us easily. 2 more tapas dishes were then given to us, again lovely. We were told about a music night on the Sunday which we missed sadly due to circumstances, but I understand they are really good. This little bar is well worth seeking out. It provides good drinks with great free tapas served by a couple of lovely friendly people. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.
Habíamos planeado visitar tres restaurantes de tapas, los dos primeros estaban cerrados y La Mariposa estaba en nuestro camino. Uno de nuestro grupo recordaba haber visitado hace unos años, así que tres parejas entraron. El bar contenía una mezcla de lugareños y turistas. La atmósfera era buena y mejoró aún más cuando uno de los dueños sacó su guitarra y nos entretuvo con una mezcla de música, flamenco y algunos clásicos. Las tapas eran excelentes y el Prawn Pil Pil, tan bueno como cualquier otro que hayas probado. Nos quedamos por unas horas y como tantos bares frecuentados por la población local, fue una excelente relación calidad-precio. Una gran noche.
Disfruté de un excelente espagueti de mariscos mientras esperaba a mis amigos Bill y Andy, que estaban en otro lugar esa noche. Tomó mucho tiempo prepararlo a pesar de que solo había una mesa ocupada, pero valió la pena la espera. Una porción muy generosa con muchos camarones y otros mariscos. Bill y Andy llegaron un poco más tarde y Bill tomó prestada la guitarra de Antonio y comenzó a tocar algunas canciones que fueron muy bien recibidas por el grupo de lugareños que había llegado antes. Muy recomendado.
In an area full of genuine Spanish tapas bars, who understand the concept of quickly serving you a drink with a small tapas dish, this place sticks out like a sore thumb and the lack of customers shows we are not alone. The service is just too slow and uninterested and the bar has no atmosphere. In short one to avoid when there are so many other good places nearby.

Thursday 4th April 2019, just had delicias de ternera , beef tongue in tomato sauce with vapor potatoes and it was superb, extremely tender meat with a lovely rich tomato sauce served by Josephine the owner as well as her husband Antonio behind the bar. Antonio plays guitar and very good too. I highly recommend the place
We popped in for a wine and tinto verano and we got a lovely plate of muscles, cheese and bread tapa. The owners are lovely and the location is a lovely change from tourist bars! Recommend to all.
Very nice guitarplayer who plays all the songs that you know! Good tapas and Wine and nice service. The owner homself entertains with the guitar as well as others as a ” jamsession”
Los guitarristas y las buenas tapas hicieron nuestra noche completa. Bonitos propietarios y buenos clientes. Mayormente invitados españoles. Qué bueno estar aquí.
