despite all attempts we were unable to get a table here for dinner as it is always fully booked. to me that is probably the best magnet when it comes to food if a restaurant is that popular then the food must be worth...eating. so we settled for a lunch instead and I must admit we were pleasantly surprised. The meal was nice, not the best we have had for a ‘cook your own meat on a slate’ meal for the following reasons the upstairs where we sat is quite small and the ceiling is very low, which meant when you and other...tables cooking meat/cheese it can get a bit smoky, which is expected but in a confined space isn’t too good. Also, the meat (turkey, veil and beef) and then your sides (we had a selection of veg, chips and potatoes between us) and also uncooked veg, came on the same plate. Passage obligé chaque année dans ce restaurant rénové avec goût il y a maintenant 2 ans, la décoration y est donc soignée, locale et agréable. L'accueil est également chaleureux et cordiale. Le service est efficace et rapide : comme il faut. Les plats (principalement des spécialités prises) sont très bien réalisées à chaque fois... en bref, les années ne font pas baisser la qualité de ce restaurant.

we were recommended to la marmite by a chap with which we spoke earlier on the day on the chairlift and not disappointed. while not cheap nothing is too much annoying and portioning are plentiful! of us decided for the meat fondue and...use the spectre of cooking our own meat at the table fighting to eat it all, but would have been an absolute scandal to waste.
This restaurant is in the hub of Les Arcs and is really very nice. It is cute and comfortable inside, and the service was great. We shared the cheese fondue which was awesome, and we couldn't finish it, it was a huge bowl! Lovely...fresh salad on the side as well. Beautiful local wine, recommended to us from the waiter. Great experience, would recommend.
L'un des meilleurs restaurants d'Arc 1800. Il y en a pour tous les goûts. Spécialités savoyardes ou cuisine de tradition, tout est excellent ! Une équipe super sympa et un très bon rapport qualité prix : à consommer sans modération !
