Hector provided outstanding service for our Easter Sunday meal. When Hector was told that one of the members of our party had a hearing disability he easily modified his communications to direct everything toward the family members good ear. The noise level at our table was however way too loud for our party. I feel like party’s with adults only should be seated away from party’s with little children whenever possible. Our family member with a hearing problem had great difficulty hearing us because his hearing aids could not cancel out the crying and the noise of children that was seated right across from our table. My husband I went to La Masseria for the first time last night. The atmosphere was excellent. My husband had the file. It was tender and perfectly cooked. The part of the potatoes was small. I ordered the Linguine Alle Vongole. The pasta was excellent. The shells were disappointing. The shells were dry and had not much taste. Living in RI would expect native mussels. When I mentioned on our server “I loved the pasta, but was disappointed by the shells”, he told me I should pretend to be in Italy. La Masseria is definitely one of our favorite spots in RI. The service, the perfectly authentic Italian food and drinks are always perfect. Try the Linguine with Clams, Veal Parm, Insalata Riccia, and the cheesecake which is authentic Ricotta Pie.

Wait staff service attention as well as food was wonderful. What made soured the experience was the Latin Rap music that was playing throughout the restaurant.
