We reserved a table for dinner weeks ago: 5 people at 10:30 pm. Ok. At 10:30 we were there and we have been told that our table was not ready. So, they invited us to wait in a (very nice corner of their garden and have a drink (to be charged on our table when ready . We had a bottle of white wine to share. Table was ready around 11 and we sat. Around 11.10/11.15 we ordered our food: 5 starters 5 main courses 1 new bottle of wine. Starters came at 12 o clock... at least 40 minutes after we sat. In the meantime we complained with the waitress, who tried to justify the wait by saying that they were full. My answer was that it was not my problem and that if their kitchen was not able to afford all that people this meant that they accept too many people for dinner. So we had our starters and few minutes after we finished our starters main courses arrived and with them an Italian lady that should be the owner of the restaurant (or the manager . So, while we had our main course at the table, the lady tried to justify that late (but she did not apologize at all! and engaged in a very upsetting conversation. To be said that I am Italian, so no way to get lost in translation. Her arguments were actually the following: in her opinion (I we did not wait that much (we were supposed to be received at 10:30 and we got our starters at midnight! ; (ii restaurant was full (so? and (iii we are in Ibiza . I found this last argument offensive. It sound like: if do not know how to travel and live the Ibiza mood, you better stay home. There was no argument to be discussed. We tried to stop the discussion and finish our dinner that in the meantime was still there. We finished our food, asked the bill, paid and left. They kept of the bill the bottle of wine that we had while our table was not ready. A word of apologize would have been more appreciated. Food: quality of food is ok, even if we could not enjoy it anymore due to the very bad mood created by the situation. I had a melt goat cheese toast with zucchini (not bad as starter and some pasta (paccheri with anchovy sauce (pretty salty , my friend had a antipasto toscano (ham and salami and a filet. Spot is nice and well furnished
La Paloma is hands down one Of my fave restaurants in the World. Fantastic setting for this rural little restaurant too. Just like out Of a romantic movie. Super cute at night with light bulbs and intimate atmosphere but really wonderful at daytime too. Eating under a lemon tree is a spectacular experience in a very honest and humble way. Food here is prepared with only the best veggies and ingredients. The café menu is simple but sooo yummy. The falafel is actually the best I have ever had. Worldwide. Ok, big words for this little gem Of a restaurant but I have nothing but love for this Place. Oh, make a reservation it’s always full when in peak season. And, If the daily menu includes the gazpacho get it.
We managed to get a last min booking here on our first night in Ibiza. This has long been my wife’s favourite restaurant in the world and it did not disappoint absolutely stunning setting in the orange groves with food to match certainly one to tick of ones bucket list on Ibiza. It feels like your eating in a magical family garden.
Tipo de « el lugar a ser » chic muy concurrido, tiempo de espera bastante largo, bastante caro, los cursos principales están en muy pequeña cantidad como menú de niños. El sabor de la calidad ans está bien, pero la mayoría de los huéspedes no están allí para comer pero sólo se ven.
