We reserved a table for dinner weeks ago: 5 people at 10:30 pm. Ok. At 10:30 we were there and we have been told that our table was not ready. So, they invited us to wait in a (very nice corner of their garden and have a drink (to be charged on our table when ready . We had a bottle of white wine to share. Table was ready around 11 and we sat. Around 11.10/11.15 we ordered our food: 5 starters 5 main courses 1 new bottle of wine. Starters came at 12 o clock... at least 40 minutes after we sat. In the meantime we complained with the waitress, who tried to justify the wait by saying that they were full. My answer was that it was not my problem and that if their kitchen was not able to afford all that people this meant that they accept too many people for dinner. So we had our starters and few minutes after we finished our starters main courses arrived and with them an Italian lady that should be the owner of the restaurant (or the manager . So, while we had our main course at the table, the lady tried to justify that late (but she did not apologize at all! and engaged in a very upsetting conversation. To be said that I am Italian, so no way to get lost in translation. Her arguments were actually the following: in her opinion (I we did not wait that much (we were supposed to be received at 10:30 and we got our starters at midnight! ; (ii restaurant was full (so? and (iii we are in Ibiza . I found this last argument offensive. It sound like: if do not know how to travel and live the Ibiza mood, you better stay home. There was no argument to be discussed. We tried to stop the discussion and finish our dinner that in the meantime was still there. We finished our food, asked the bill, paid and left. They kept of the bill the bottle of wine that we had while our table was not ready. A word of apologize would have been more appreciated. Food: quality of food is ok, even if we could not enjoy it anymore due to the very bad mood created by the situation. I had a melt goat cheese toast with zucchini (not bad as starter and some pasta (paccheri with anchovy sauce (pretty salty , my friend had a antipasto toscano (ham and salami and a filet.
