La Paloma Mexican - Reserva de mesa

If you're from Colorado, you know what a Green Chile Smothered Burrito is. After searching high and low to find one here in Mississippi, I was thrilled to discover it at this restaurant, and I was not disappointed! It had just the right amount of kick—if you don't believe it, you'll have to try it yourself. The burrito was smothered to perfection, and the flavor of paprika was delightful. I also indulged in a delicious Donkey's Ear for dessert and left feeling very satisfied (maybe a bit too stuffed!). All of this was paired with amazing service and genuine smiles from the staff. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in town. Thanks for a fantastic lunch experience!

I first want to say that the staff was amazing and very kind and helpful. They were very good and quick with service, and that was amazing. They were very helpful when my partner needed his food remade as well. So definitely, great service. The restaurant was very clean and bright. It was a nice atmosphere. I didn't care for the food. I found most of the food to be very bland. I ordered a chicken burrito, and the chicken wasn't seasoned at all. Everything was very bland. Personally, I didn't like it, but I could see why other people would it just isn't my taste at all. The chips and salsa were good, but everything else lacked flavors.

La Paloma offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, situated conveniently in the city center. I ordered the beef, beans, and cheese sopapilla, and I was truly impressed by its presentation, flavor, and texture! However, I was a bit taken aback by the surprisingly small amount of queso served with my large portion—there was barely enough to drizzle on my entree. Nevertheless, the taste was absolutely delightful.

The service was outstanding, and I'm so glad I tried the sopapilla—it was absolutely delicious! I would share a picture of it, but it was too tempting to wait to eat. The restaurant is conveniently located right across from the dog fountain, making it the perfect spot to stop after a hike at Ariel Park. If you like Mexican food that you can taste the meat and cheese without it being overpowered by heat, this is a great place to eat! Food is flavorful without burning your insides. Simple diner atmosphere... they've been around FOREVER. I love their Sopapillas... not what most think.... think of more like a Mexican Stromboli or Calzone. I love the Seafood mix they put in. Great prices for lots of food. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $1–10
