La Parrilla Mexican Grill

Will start by saying how hospitable the staff were and how good it was to offer a cheesecake as we had a group birthday. Overall however I’d say the food was only okay and not really authentic. Considering it is a Mexican restaurant, I requested my food to be very spicy so was expecting that and I asked for only a little sour cream on the food. So I was a little disappointed when receiving my food that it tasted rather under seasoned and I didn’t really taste any spice at all, the salsa although requested hot tasted like a mild one. Mexican restaurant on Bold Street. I ate here in 2019 and have been meaning to try it again since. I don’t really like Bold Street that much too brash, too chaotic but since I was at the Adelphi today I thought I’d give this place another go. It was ok. Not much to say other than that. Good choice of food but nothing special chimichanga was good. Presentation weird. Big plate, lots of space. Service was ok, food arrived quickly. Doesn’t do desserts. A choice has been made I guess. Greeted warmly at the door and showed to a table. The place was full and it had a noisy vibrant atmosphere (we'd never been here before so didn't know what to expect! . Very friendly and attentive staff..so much so that when we were taking a group photo some sombreros were plonked on our heads and the waiter took some great photos for us! Food was delicious we ordered chimichanga and steak and chicken fajitas. Overall we really enjoyed the food and service. Parking: Hard to park on South Road so park along Marine Drive instead and walk up.
