The exterior of La Pasta is - to be honest - a little unprepossessing. 70s style aluminium door and green neon. Inside it is pretty small, 35 covers spread over two floors. Judging by the accents, the chef and front-of-house are Italian; I suppose I could have asked, but I didn't think to at the time. The food is exceptional.Adults plumped for the day's special which was red pepper stuffed with veal force meat and capers, oven baked and served with pasta in a tomato & aubergine sauce. Youngest daughter (aged 6) had spaghetti carbonara (adult portion, she ate the lot); the elder two had foccacia, which is not the same as pizza, but is, apparently, a Southern Italian equivalent made something...
A little Italian restaurant where everything is authentic: food, people, you are in Italy! The food is from southern Italy (Puglia), so pizza lovers, you have to be warned, here, pizzas are thicker and smaller. The real special dish is pasta, of course. Order the menu du jour, it changes everyday, and you won't regret it. I am a regular at this restaurant, I've started visiting this place 10 years ago, and today I think it is even better! And guess what? Prices haven't even changed! Yes! This place is incredibly cheap and tasty! Have a try!
We came here for food one night while at a conference in Nantes and the staff were lovely. The chef even came out and talked to us and they made sure we understood everything and wasn't condescending about us not being able to speak French!The food was very tasty, we only had a main course, but my dish was excellently cooked. The restaurant was quite small, but we were downstairs, not sure how much more space there was upstairs, however all in all, lovely food and welcoming staff.
Me and my friends were graciously greeted with a friendly smile after we came back from a festival called Hellfest, which was taking place just 10 miles away in Clisson. The food has a wide range of meals, which are authentic to the Italian way. Excellent prices and would definitely come back again.

excellent meal and service. each plate they brought to me was excellent, prepared and carefully assembled. her burrata was amazing. if they like good pasta, this is a place to try in nantes. make sure they book before the place is small, and many locals know that it is excellent.
The pasta here is just beyond words. I loved the fact that they made the pasta according to my requirements. It was so fresh and extremely tasty. I love this place and loved the family there as well. They are friendly and sweet. I highly recommend this place.
I came for a pasta lunch and wasn't disappointed. The service was friendly and knowledgeable and the sauce, which had a little spicy pepper, had a deep, rich flavor. If my trip had been longer I would have come back to taste something else on the menu.
marvellous contrast, Turkish eaten the night before and french the most time. warm and friendly host with excellent staff and very inexpensive Italian eat. pasta die.

I love this place - carbonara prepared how it should be (no cream, no onion) and other delicious pasta dishes abound. I just wish they would be open on Saturdays!
Good people, very good food, home pasta ! Take the Regatoni alamatriciana !!!
