This tiny Mexican restaurant may be small, but it serves fantastic food. I ordered a Mexican burger, which came with avocado slices and tasted incredible. It was accompanied by wonderfully crunchy fries, making for a hearty and filling meal. At $14, I felt it was worth the price. The chips and salsa provided at the table were also excellent and helped curb our hunger as we waited. The chips were clearly fresh and had that satisfying crunch that you crave. What am I missing here? We ordered two dishes, both arrived cold and tasted like they were made with the cheapest ingredients. The cheese, in particular, reminded me of something from Costco. The tables were dirty and cramped, and I felt completely ripped off when we got the bill. I understand wanting to support a new place, but honestly, for the price, just walk up the hill to Taco Project instead. Authenticity doesn’t always mean quality—it can sometimes mean authentic but disappointing.
I have visited several times for lunch, trying something new each time. Every meal has been quick and delicious. I've had a steak burrito, a chorizo burrito bowl, and some tacos, all of which were great. I highly recommend this restaurant! There's metered parking available out front for $1.25 per hour. I was pleasantly surprised to find this hidden gem. The food was freshly made and perfectly seasoned. I ordered the Chicken Tacos and Beef and Chicken Empanadas, both of which were delicious. The service was prompt and attentive, and the prices were reasonable. They even remembered to provide extra spicy sauce on the side. I will definitely be coming back!

La Perla Poblanita is a cozy spot with fantastic food. We tried several empanadas, a carnitas dish, and Jarritos with rice, and left completely satisfied. The service was excellent, and I'll definitely keep this place in mind whenever I have a craving for authentic Mexican cuisine.
