"Good food at a good price. Very popular so mightb have to wait for table in bar, which wasn;t a problem for me as sport on tv and great pint of guiness. Patron cam be a bit offputting but its just his style and I found him very amusing."

A basic auberge and bar with good service and good basic food. Have been using it for many years. This trip with family saw us strike up a friendship with their waiter Jacques who was always good fun and very efficient. On our third visit it was Jacques night off and the remaining staff were not coping, This was not helped by us being 10 minutes late for our 8pm booking. They had let our table go to someone else which seemed a bit harsh but we were late however one of the older male waiters got very animated when we asked if there was anything else they could do. All we were looking for was a later table or to be squeezed in but he got angry about our late arrival and, in his eyes our expect...
The best bar in Bride Les Bains! A proper apres ski bar showing the usual mix of football and winter sports. A nice cosmopolitan mix of people from all over. Brits certainly but with a strong french flavour. In a week we met scandies, Dutch, Italians, Americans and more besides. The restaurant next door is really good. The food is great, well priced and the wine list is surprising good with a strong local emphasis. Don't miss the dry as a bone white vin de Savoie. Thanks to all the staff for a great week and feeding and watering us!
We had dinner here on a Friday night, arrived without a reservation, no problem! We were seated within 5 minutes, my husband had the Plat du Jour for €10 and I had the Margarita pizza for €11, both arrived quickly and were very tasty. We highly recommend this restaurant, especially if your staying in the Grand Chalet as it's just across the street.
Had to find a local restaurant so we went out to diner at this establishment . Cant book a reservation but go there the bar area is friendly . the owner is cool once you break down his tough exterior . The food is truly Fantastic . Great little find a Really memorable night .
