La Petite Fontaine

Have been visiting this restaurant for over twenty years. Unfortunately the original owner had had to sell up due to petty lawyers interfering with local businesses. However his son still works the front of house and is amazing. Attentive, smiling, interested in your views just a brilliant performance by this young man. The food has changed a little but still fabulous and plenty of it. Yes the famous cheese board has gone which is a shame but the quality of the ingredients and the chef's ability are first class. Spent a wonderful couple of hours indulging ourselves at this very pretty location. Still a must to visit

We have been going here for over twenty years under the old ownership of Etienne and his family. It was great food at at a great price with a fabulous atmosphere. Now it has all changed for the worse. An open kitchen means you are subjected to the terrible chef shouting at staff and the smell of the deep fat fryer. The sullen waitress was as unfriendly as she was lazy. The small menu of dishes was unappealing. We had terrible moulds which inexplicably were swimming in oil with crumble on top. The whole experience was awful and sadly we shall never return. Bring back Etienne and bring back real food!

My wife and I are on holiday from Ireland and Le Petite Fontaine was literally a few meters from where we were staying. The menu was typical Provençal and the waiter who served us us was very helpful in explaining what the dishes were in very good English. The three courses were very good, fresh ingredients and good portions. Watch out for the Rhum Baba dessert as there is certainly a lot of rum in it. The setting outside in the fresh air under the trees, the good food and the excellent service would make me recommend this restaurant for a good evening out.

We had a delicious 3 course lunch here with our toddler. Tasty fresh Provençal dishes with a nice glass of rose. Luckily they have a charming waiter who speaks great English. He kindly explained the menu which was a huge help! We brought food for our son as as expected there wasn’t much suitable for him. Highly recommend for a leisurely lunch in the sunshine

The food is very good, and so is the service. I had a very good time and so did my family. Also the location is Nice.
