La Petite Reine is another spot I like to checkout when I’m in Genf. Located on the back street from Cornavin main station, this festive and prime location attracts a diverse group of customers. On my visit it was a hot day and the patio spots began filling up fast. Some tables are protected with the awning or a couple of umbrellas; otherwise, you have to fend for yourself in the sun. Inside, there are a few stools at the bar, while upstairs there are only a couple of seating spots in the room. The staff is welcoming and friendly, the place offers Wi-Fi, and spotless restrooms for customers.
The staff was friendly and welcoming on my visit. At the main bar there are just a few seats and standing room only space, while upstairs there is a somewhat larger sit-down hangout area. On more comfortable weather days there is a nice outside patio space with a view. When ordering keep in mind to return your beer tumbler as to have your deposit refunded. There were a few hot snacks for sale at the main bar. Upstairs, a section of the floor is glass and you can look down and check out what's happening on the deck below.
Fun, young and alternative crowd, but also very mixed. You'll see anyone from suits and ties fresh from work to rastas tokeing in the corner. Right behind Geneva main station, this is a welcome break from the more upscale norm. It's a small place so...seating is at a premium, but you just circle around tables like a vulture and pounce when one frees up. Small selection of beers and ales on tap, and a selection of bottles brews. Indispensable addition to Geneva social life: long may she reine.
Located in front of Geneva's train station, la Petite Reine is the perfect place for having a quick drink before taking a train or a bus, and also for any random all-night celebration. The staff is as friendly and easy-going as the bar's regular customers...(who happen to form a big family), and is more than keen on welcoming locals and expats; la PR is actually one of the very rare place in Geneva where the city's international and local communities really meet. Cool place with a very young crowd. Also the location is convenient as it is located directly behind the station. This place is a small house converted into a bar, so there is an original feeling. I definitely recommend... although I don't have a fan of their deposit policy on glasses and bottles and bar service need to be improved in terms of speed or add more employees.
I had no idea that Geneva approached an alternative scene at all, so was pleasantly surprised to find this place. There is an excellent choice of beers, some of which are made on the grounds or especially for them. You also have a good choice of snaps and other ghosts. Will definitely come back when I'm in Geneva.
Winziger Barbereich und wir waren dort, um Kaffee zu trinken, nachdem wir von Montreux aus dem Zug ausgestiegen waren. Praktische Lage und das Personal ist cool. Der Kaffee war großartig. Ich denke, es wäre auch ein großartiger Ort für einen Cocktail. Personal war freundlich. Begrüßungsstimmung.
