La Placita Taqueria

A good Mexican friend of mine introduced me to this quaint neighborhood eatery klose to his home after inquired about the best Mexican in his opinion. He raved about this small place in a smaller strip plaza attached to a gas station. I offered to buy so we headed in. Not much to say about ambience but that wasn 't why we were there... It was all about the food baby!! He suggested the Burritos, Nachos, etc but I wanted to try something different. Worse Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. We put our order in. There were 3 of us. A few minutes later they called our number. Only one meal was ready. A few minutes later they called our number again. It was not our food. Two more plates came out after, also not ours. The 3 plates were put on an empty table. Finally the second order came out. The last one was 10 minutes later. Terribly disappointed with the service.. 3 workers came out of the back and sat where the plates of food were set down. Obviously the staff meals were more important than a customers. The burritos were lousy. I got steak. It was so chewy I had a hard time eating it. Was pretty tasteless too. This was very disappointing. Came here today for lunch and spent $50 (including $8 tip)for the burrito LA Placita, Enchiladas, queso, beef taco and two bottle waters. EVERYTHING was either room temperature or cold. I had high hopes because I expected authentic flavor but the enchiladas were bad and the burrito had little meat and was filled with onion (including the tip of the onion) Because of the temp of the queso, sauce and the flavor were so bad we essentially only ate about 20% of our food and had to walk away from the rest.

We order a chicken burrito la placita a steak one, as well as chips and salsa. Both burritos and the rice and beans were amazingly delicious! The chips were also good, but the salsa was the one bad thing. Rather than just fresh jalapeños, tomatoes and onions to make a perfect salsa, there is some sort of chili sweet taste that is not good at all. Food ok Flavored water not good at all, they made with artificial flavored powder, not 100% natural, Jamaica and Hirchata drink are cheap and easy to make natural why in the world they made it out of flavored powder. Service quick Place clean Remove 2 stars because of the drinks,
