La Plage L’ouillette

Having loved Ouillette for over 20 years, I couldn 't wait to finally discover version 2.0 of what I considered one of the best places in Val d 'Isere. Obviously the site is always incredibly beautiful, lunch on the terrace in front of this snow-covered lake is simply extraordinary! But what a disappointment for the rest... The snack: a joke! An endless wait in front of this small counter where only one waitress tries to do as best she can. Result 35 minutes of waiting for a poor quality sandwich (very little choice) and a hot dog worthy of the worst moments of catering at the top of the slopes in the 80s... Once served, the second challenge is to find a clean table . Mission impossible, eve...

Long-time regulars of ouillette, we were very disappointed with the revival of this Val d’Isère classic. The kitchen is really not up to the standard of the place. The tasteless salmon toast was served on a slice of stale bread, impossible to cut. The meat was fatty and bad. The pasta was bathed in oil. Industrial desserts. Too bad the service was rather friendly. Factory feeling and lack of authenticity... in short, much too expensive for what you eat. There remains the terrace in the sun which is unbeatable.

The team is still so adorable and we are still well received but what a shame to have lost our little cabin full of charm and authenticity. The new building may certainly be more comfortable but without soul. We lost our favorite terrace. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch

A little nostalgic for the old version. The place has lost a little of its cozy beach soul. It has become a restaurant like you find everywhere. Damage. The food is good. The service is very good but... it was better before! Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Great restaurant with very pleasant and helpful servers a top manager! Ideal location on the slopes with easy access for pedestrians. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
