I ordered "thon" ("ahi" or tuna) served with "aioli" sauce for luncheon, and I could have not have been more pleased with my selection. La Plancha is a causal restaurant with indoor and outdoor service on the sidewalk, where one can see and be seen--a favorite French pastime. A pichet ("pitcher") of rosé perfectly complimented this light repast. For dessert try the creme brulée, I promise you will not be disappointed. The location is central, with the well known Vichy Opera House being just a half-block away nestled by a variety of shops for those everyday pressing needs.
This was my first experience in the restaurants in Vichy and I must say, I was impressed with such a nice little restaurant. The menu isn't complicated and isn't expensive at all. I didn't try any Spanish traditional dishes, the speciality of the restaurant, I got a big and tasty portion of mussels and fries. The service was excellent and fast, eventhough my French is way too basic, the waitress didn't put pressure on me, as I normally get in other towns in France. I reckon if you want to have a relaxed time at supper, this place is definitely a good choise.
superb discovery! The welcome is warm, the very kind and attentive boss. We took 3 tapas for 2 what was enough, very tender meat and excellent fish, perfect cooking, delicious marinades and homemade sauces! all served with a house sangria. prices are more than correct for quality, nothing to say if it is only that we strongly recommend this address that clearly worth the detour! Thanks again!
