What a lovely little restaurant. So typically French with traditional, rustic decor and a lovely lady in charge who was most accommodating and helpful. The food was really good. It consisted of chunks of meat cooked over fire on a contraption like a hang man's scaffold on which it is also served.The meat, the sauces and the accompanying vegetable (white beans in a garlicky sauce in my case) were delicious. I had chunks of beef, duck and veal kidneys.Desserts were to die for. I ordered almond-infused creme brulée, which was superb, but when I saw my friends chocolate mousse with shavings of local Pays de Loire caramel I was jealous.
