La Potiniere - Reserva de mesa

We have been wanting to dine here for some time and we were lucky to get booked in. It was worth our patience. We had twice baked cheese soufflé which was light and very tasty, halibut with langoustine, perfectly cooked with a tarragon sauce, which was delicious and well seasoned. To finish we had the baked Alaska with home grown berries, which was lovely. I especially enjoyed the fact there were a number of good alcohol free drinks. The restaurant is small with lovely decor. I would definitely recommend this place and if we are in the area we will return. Thank you for a lovely meal.

We went to La Potiniere last night to celebrate my husband's birthday. Service was incredibly slow, we arrived at 7 and had our amuse bouche an hour later (soup was lovely pumpkin seed bread was bitter). Starters eventually came and the courgette and feta tart was actually a pastry disc with veg etc on. Fine but not fine dining. Main courses were tasty, except the fish was well overcooked. We left at that point so can't comment on dessert. This is not a friendly, relaxed dining experience, it feels formal and dated and I'm sorry, the food is mediocre.

Recently enjoyed yet another superb meal at La Pot. The ambience of this intimate restaurant and the personal welcome from Keith and Mary made it seem that we were dining in their front room! The formula is fresh, top quality local produce prepared without pretension but with consummate skill and attention to detail, what more could you ask for? Cannot recommend highly enough. This has to be the finest restaurant in East Lothian.

a large group of 7 experienced diners is hard to deal with in a small intimate restaurant like this but it was dealt with very well to ensure quality of food was delivered , hot and tasty onto the table. Pricing was not excessive for such a quality performance. OK maybe the service is not fast but do you want the best product possible or for it to be hurried. WE will be back. Amazing Meal for our Golden Wedding Anniversary. We have been before for lunch But were lucky enough to get booked for our Golden wedding Anniversary . The meal was absolutely first class . The service was wonderful and pace of meal just right We had a 5 year old in our party of 8 and his comment of This is the best restaurant I have ever been too summed up our experience Thank You

Food, service, atmosphere and overall experience faultless as always. An exquisite Christmas menu. The Jerusalem Artichoke soup amuse bouche set the tone for every item on the menu: wonderfully balanced and delicious dishes and perfect portion sizes and prices. Really lucky to have Mary and Keith as local restaurateurs.

Enjoyed a fantastic lunch experience here. Great quality food cooked to perfection, well judged portions and pace of service. Unobtrusive service. Intimate and subdued atmosphere but not stuffy or formal at all. Absolutely couldn't fault a thing, Very highly recommended and will return.

Excellent restaurant with outstanding food. We have been before a couple of years ago. It is still superb. A lovely dinner well served in elegant surroundings. Each course was delicious. An outstanding meal at a not unreasonable price for the quality. We will be back soon. Reserva una mesa ahora

Intimate dining venue with a vary pared down small menu. The seasonal food is very much the star here. Fabulous attention to detail, perfect ingredients prepared with knowledge and care. A lovely experience. Will absolutely return.

A wonderful dining experience. Food beautifully prepared and presented in a lovely setting. I cannot recommend it highly enough. I shall be back on a regular basis.
