Our waiter wasn’t very knowledgeable about their vegan options and didn’t offer to ask either. But with a little help of reviews, their online menu and their paper menu we figured it out. They have vegan chorizo which they can use in any dish. I had the Chorizo and the Al Pastor Mushroom Tacos which tasted very good. Same can be said about the vegan pozole rojo. Patio is great, in the weekend three restaurants block off Custer Ave. There even was a DJ!
Amazing place! The staff is fabulous and very friendly. The food is extremely tasty. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. My friend and I spent a great night sitting at the bar, watching the Cubs on TV and enjoying the recommendations made by Alex, the best bartender ever. The owners, Derek and Eric, have another hit! I can't wait to go back!
Three vegan ways to modify the Pozoles, (impossible chorizo, red mole sweet potato, mushroom Al Pastor). I’m partial to the sweet potato. Never disappointed when my Omni family members wants to eat here. I haven’t done it, but assume many tacos modifiable as well with similar subs
This place is absolutely fabulous. I love Mexican cuisine, and just happened to randomly find this spot, while in town (from NYC) on business. Top Notch!!! And having now eaten there multiple times, it is consistent! You will NOT be disappointed. Highly recommended!!! Reserva una mesa ahora
The walk-up window serves the best churros and Mexican coffee you'll find this side of Mexico City. Actually, the churros are better than the ones I've eaten in Mexico City. The breakfast window is one of the best kept secrets in Evanston.
Our go to taco joint! Love the short rib taco! Great Margaritas and recently had an awesome salad topped with short ribs...Great carry out, too!
Fantastic tacos, churros and a great house margarita. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Couldn't be better!
