Had a super meal here last night. Amazing value, and our host was ever so sweet and very welcoming. My French is a little rusty but she spoke slowly for me and was happy to explain anything on the menu we couldn 't work out ourselves. I had the foie gras and pave de boeuf, both excellent with lovely big salad alongside the starter and simple vegetables and fries alongside a fantastic bit of beef in a red wine gravy (local chinon). With cheese and a feuille de fraise for desert. My fiancée had the salmon salad and a fruites de la creme (white fish in a cream sauce) with cheese and the same desert. We came on the recommendation of our host and after reading the review here, it was a no brainier. What a great meal. It has a limited menu and you're pretty much choose from a couple of options. We were so happy. We had beef (tender, great flavor and cooked perfectly), fried potatoes (crisp and light), salad, and a dessert (a wonderful cake) all for 21 euro for BOTH of us. The service was excellent we don't speak French and she had little English, but she was very helpful, kind, and patient and with the help of google translate, all went well. Highly recommend.
D exterior the restaurant does not pay for mine, inside rustic atmosphere and both modern .. a pleasant welcome the manager is soft and attractive and very smiling.. its service is irreproachable as in large restaurants. We ate very well and the extra beef paved. Only flat fries are frozen. The very good fat and dessert revisits the beautiful Hélène pear as well. I strongly recommend if you go around. nice surprise for a correct price
We took French friends here for dinner and really scored!! Strangely it is only open from 19:00 to 20:30, but it was well worth the planning to arrive on time. The food was excellent, with a varied menu and gererous portions. The wife of our guests had lived all her life with 10 miles yet was unaware of it's existance.
