We have eaten here on a number of occasions. By way of background, Cergy is not a hotbed of good eating and many of the restaurants are distinctly average. Reflecting on the overall quality and price of the food in Cergy and in Paris generally, I have to say that Britain offers markedly better value which surprises me.The food here is hearty, unpretentious and filling. I have not had a bad meal here. You always go away feeling full and contented. The service is excellent and the welcome always friendly and warm. I would describe the food as rustic, in a good way, but do not expect gourmet food, nor is this what the proprietors set out to provide.Options include fondues and raclettes. My last meal was a steak fondue. Overall I enjoyed it. The house sauces which accompanied it were very good. Olives and a selection of cured meats and nuts accompany pre dinner drinks. In the summer, and indeed in the winter if you are up for it, there is an outdoor covered area which is very pleasant. If I had to give a mark out of ten, it would be 6.5 to 7. Three main courses, one dessert, a bottle of rosé and one coffee came to 63 euros.
