La Taberna - Reserva de mesa

Doing our annual visit to Duesseldorf this week. One of us wanted tapas, so we landed at this neighborhood place. We ordered 4 tapas and 2 paellas. Everything we had was awesomely delicious, and the service was decent until the end... we were forced to add tips to our bill. Tips were generally not required in the past in Germany or other EU countries, but now the servers would openly ask for tips, and some of them were downright nasty. Can someone please tell me... tips are mandatory in the EU now??? We had a wonderful meal and it was spoiled at the end because a few bucks (15 euros)... what a shame.

My secret tip for the weekend absolutely reserve. from the map the different tapas dishes are selected and even if fully loaded quickly prepared and served. the prices for each section are approximately between 3.50 and 8.50. Usually arrange something of everything and everyone serves in the middle. good beverage selection, delicious desserts (especially the creamma catalana). Price/performance absolutely top. we drank to 5., drunken and eaten and a dessert...for under 30 euros per person for the whole evening.

I can only join my administrator here. even in the middle of the week the load is well visited. Yesterday I was there and it was really delicious again. Tapas for all that is exactly my favorite, I can't even say yet, but it's super tasty and especially fresh! the prices are really ok for tapas, even if you think in the beginning, for such a small part 4 6 Euro? but make the choice and above all the diversity. I can only recommend the tapasbar and, above all, don't forget to book a table!

Called in advance and were told to come by, left there for 25 minutes without anything and were always put off for a table. Better somewhere else

Very nice staff. My rum steak was tasty, chimichurri was delicious with it.
