Arrived around 12.40 with no reservation but recommended by a local. The shady outdoor terrace was full, but the owner, Bruno Cottel welcomed us and immediately found and set a table for us. Good beer and wine neither expensive. Menu du jour came with a choice of two starters (today mixed salad or mousse de porc a soft pate) followed by either piece de boeuff with echalotte sauce or sauté de Vaux with sauce tomate which was excellent. Your choice of accompaniement offered a choice of pasta, spinach, or sautéed mixed vegetables. Desserts were extra if you had room choices: crème caramel, assorted ice creams and sorbets, iles flottant or something else I can't remember! Service was friendly, w...
