La Table de Jean - Reservar una mesa

We have eaten 4 meals in this restaurant over the last year: two were for the menu de jour (16.50E) mid week and two for Sunday lunch (one at 25 euros and second at 36). First let me say that the chef is quite definitely special...and the food excellent. The menu de jour is fantastic value and includes 1/4 carafe of wine and coffee. Having said that the formule is a large plate containing starter and main (always a choice of fish or meat), followed by a 'cafe gourmand ' 3 small deserts and a cup of good coffee which may not be to everyones ' taste. For our most recent lunch I had faux filet with green pepper sauce served with 'real game chips '; my husband had encornet with mashed potato but...

we are here twice on holiday and have really enjoyed it both times. the restaurant has an intelligent air, with professional and fast service and a welcoming maitre d’. the formula is medium priced and excellent quality. the restaurant was busy with local French customers, both...occupations always a good sign.

Found this place unexpectedly and we had the menu express. Prompt service. Friendly and efficient. Delicious poached egg and spinach and bechamel sauce, crispy slices of chicken breast, small pork meat pie. And then coffee with small sweets . Good value. Only negative it wansnt...all that hot!

Very popular; we were waiting at the door when they opened and got the last free table : Excellent food and wine. We'd definitely go back.

We had a perfect evening. The menu we ordered was perfectly. Friendly service in 2 languages. Price is cheap if you see what you get.
