located in the medieval city, typical setting, outdoor terrace, rear hall that can accommodate groups. tables spaced with tablecloths and cotton towels. Smiling reception, attentive service. I enjoyed the menu discovered from the entrance to the dessert, the perfect cooking of the sander associated with the pear typed with rivarennes, the freshness of the soup of garden herb zucchini and its quenelle of goat and to finish, a taped pear marinated in wine of hypocras accompanied by homemade vanilla ice. choice of country wine to enhance this excellent Sunday meal. a feast for a good value for money
That has been a huge deception.The "poire tapée" is a dried pear and honestly I do not believe it can be used with almost everything.Anyway, low value for the money. Dry pear in almost all dishes.Horrible duck foie gras, salty duck breats, the way of smoking and curing the breast is absolutely not correctly dominated. Coq au vin was acceptable, the lamb shank also.Awful service, complete mess in the kitchen. 2 hours and 30 minuts for a 3 courses lunch.A big disappointment!We expected perhaps too much.
very good reception, very pleasant setting, smiling service (more than the bosses too authoritarian in front of the customers) and efficient. all the dishes of my menu were excellent - salad of magrets with taped pears: very hearty and very gutter-net of bar with white butter rice and vegetables confits: seasonings and perfect cooking - pear with wine and ice balls all watered with a glass of white chinon and a glass of red chinon extraj' will return with pleasure.
Meal for three. Salad ok but expensive for a few salad leaves (not dressed) with some slices of duck. Coq au vin very poor. One piece of scraggy chicken in a rather bitter sauce with undercooked potatoes. Very low quality Panna Cotta. Rather low quality overall. Better restaurants must exist in Chinon. One of the worst examples we have come across in France.

we booked in this very French restaurant. friendly and fast service. very pleasant and clean place. very good aperitives, we expected to be such an exquisite main dishes. Instead, they were quite flat, without infamy and without praise, which has a little disappointed. Very good wine.
We walked past this little gem whilst looking for somewhere to eat. Thankfully we did return and despite being a busy Friday evening we managed to get a table for 2.We had a reasonably priced three course meal which was very good. The waitress was efficient and very friendly.
reception and very pleasant meal, in a nice setting. served with fresh products, homemade kitchen. Very good food! finished by a panacota and a "chocolate mellow" to fall!
very overrated kitchen for the price. very long service, despite the good will of the servers, and a little kind boss to crown everything.
