Ignore your GPS, if you value your life and your car. Follow the little purple signs for the hotel and it will save you much (but not all grief). The tiny town wasn't made for modern motor vehicles, and GPS, at least ours, was suggesting we turn the wrong way down one way alleys The restaurant/hotel has ample parking and that is a God send in this automobile unfriendly landscape. It is definitely worth finding this civilized and well manicured little oasis on the fringe of an interesting village. The young chef knows what he is doing, and the Irish lass, your waitress, is charming. A very fair 29 Euro menu du Marche makes for an ample and elegant lunch. We had dinner there one splendid summer evening in July overlooking beautiful Uzès and surrounding hills. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, the owner himself explained the menu and ordering process. We were more than excited about the superb food quality and the ingeniousity of the young chef. The veal was was superb, the coquilles St-Jacques absolutely à la minute, and the macaron base of the dessert was of top quality. The wine list is well equipped, the first bottle of the selected Lirac (Domaine d la Mordorée, 2015) was corked but was immediately replaced without further ado by the owner. Hope to return for another dinner.

I have reviewed this restaurant a few years ago. So it's worth rereviewing. I have been twice again this autumn and am always delighted at both the service and the offering. Invariably really good food at reasonable prices. OK not cheap but for the quality and ambiance excellent value. You will not be disappointed.

We booked a table at quite short notice and were welcomed by the owner and made to feel very much at home. He was happy to talk you through the wine and menu very enthusiastically. Good for a romantic treat.

The evening dinner and breakfast was included in the price we paid and the food was very good. Simple but with original flavors. Great wines, too!
