La Table du Trappeur

We booked here at the recommendation of our apartment owner, and were not disappointed. Yes its pricey but all of Megeve is, and the food really is a treat. Essential to book. Attentive staff, beautiful presentation, very varied menu, central location this...is clearly a well established eaterie with many fans local and from afar. The use of colour, texture and placement in all the main courses was delightful. Between us in our family of 4 we had angler fish, lamb, a burger and pork chop listed like that doesn't do justice to the dishes that arrived! Outdone by their sauce and veg accompaniments. Should we return to Megeve this will be the first place we re book.

A fabulous, friendly and relaxed restaurant that never disappoints. This was our first meal out post lockdown and we felt the venue had prepared well from the table layout across the restaurant, to the QR code menu that avoided menus being handled and the use...of face masks by the staff. The food was lovely, especially the Tartiflette that got a ‘thumbs up’ from our children.

Du typique savoyards aux produits de la mer, ce restaurant saura ravir toutes les papilles ! La cuisine est simple et gouteuse ! Mention spéciale pour les croustillants au reblochon... Le service est rapide et de très bonne qualité avec sans doute de nombreux jeunes apprentis au top ! Un ticket à 40€ par personnes.

Ce qui nous a attiré dans ce restaurant c'est son classement sur trip advisor et sa carte et nous ne regrettons pas du tout: service impeccable (2 serveurs aux petits soins), des plats délicieux, dessert parfait et un cadre agréable! this is a very good restaurant serving French food mentioned in the Michelin Book. we, where 5 people and all our dishes, where among the best ever. atmosphere is very beautiful and respected. the waiters are polite. very recommended to all....prices are average and they get their money worth.

excellent eating, beautiful staff, cozy at a miserable nebeltag. certainly one of the best in megève city center. very recommended for lunch (I am sure the dinner is equally good) if in the city and not on the pists.
