This little restaurant and beer bar is the hidden gem of La Madeline. From the moment we walked through the door, we were heartily welcomed. The waitress was exceptionally friendly kind, as was another (regular? guest Jerome, who kindly helped us understand what was on the set menu. I had the scallops with lentils and carrots and a creamy mashed potato...the scallops were cooked to perfection. (The chef certainly knows what he is doing. My husband had the beef entrecote with a red wine sauce, chips and salad. The meat was so tender...again a nod to the chef for his expertise. Restaurant bistrot incontournable de La Madeleine. Caché en plein centre-ville, on le découvre par le bouche à oreilles. On y goûte, on y retourne. Christophe et son équipe nous y accueillent avec sourire et bonne humeur. Ce soir un plat excellent : Choucroute de la mer moules, haddock, saumon, lieu, etc. Et pour conclure un Irish maison exceptionnel. Une valeur sûre à La Madeleine. Aucune déception au cours de ces dernières années. À tous le restaurant à faire.
Very nice. We are welcomed in all simplicity but as real customers. Gratin endives are excellent (there are 5 dishes to choose, which is quality gage. The burnt cream is light, well caramelized: perfect. Family and friendly atmosphere. Easy and free parking (which is a plus.
Great place Surpris has the arrival when you don’t know the place. We expect a restaurant but more in a brewery but super friendly bar. The owner is very close to his clients and very generous. I'm not from the region, but frankly stop you.
