After a 600 km drive we stopped for a night in la jonquera, and asked the hotel reception for a good pizzeria, he referred us to la tagliatella, and even called them to check until what time they were open. We arrived at 22:15 h, while the restaurant was open until 23:00 h, so we’ll in time, because we only wanted pizza and a glass of wine. Now, we know the la tagliatella chain, and often go there for pasta in our home town in the costa blanca. Yesterday was the first time we ordered pizza, the first time only 45 minutes before closing, and the first time in la tagliatelle in la jonquera. For all 3 it definitely also was the last time. That the menu is printed so small that it’s hard to read, is a given, but we know that, so you don’t here me complain. That we had the mis fortune that there was one table of 8 who were celebrating something, and wanted the whole restaurant to be part of it, shouting and laughing so loud is not something I can hold against la tagliatella, but it didn’t help in our hope to have a nice, quiet dinner. That It would have been extremely difficult to make a pizza with less on it, is a fact, but since it was the first time we ordered pizza in la tagliatella, I cannot compare. On the upside, the crust was very thin and crispy. But that the staff started cleaning the whole place, sweeping under tables, mopping the floor, taking trolleys with garbage bags out, trolleys of bottles which fell and broke in the entrance) all during our pizza dinner, more than a half hour before closing is not something customers care for. Understandably, it was 22:30 on a Friday evening, and staff wanted to go home, but hospitality is all about creating a customer experience, and if your working in hospitality, you would know that cleaning and garbage cannot take place during a service ! To the manager of la tagliatella de la jonquera ; change jobs to a 9 to 5 office job, or get your act together !

Dear all, we went to this restaurant last night with grand parents and kids. Let 's start with the good points, the pizza oven looks great and stands out from the open kitchen. Restaurant design is ok, the place is clean and there was a lot of guests so it is really a successful place. The food itself was disappointing. Pizzas are ok but far from being the best. Kids had ham and cheese and it was really cheap ham on it. Sea food salad was great, probably the best choice here. Avoid pasta, really cheap prepared sauces, I am sure you can do the same or better at home. I had the pork loin with sauce, not good either, can sauce, no taste. By that time, we should have guessed that all the deserts would come straight from the fridge with 20s heating at microwave but kids were still hungry so we took 5...taste is just so-so. Conclusion, this place is for sure much better than the many buffet libre that you will find in this city. However, for the same price, we have visited several authentic restaurants with homemade food with a chef in the kitchen. All of them can be found on TripAdvisor.

We have eaten at other La Tagliatella in Cartegena and the standard is consistently good. At La Jonquera this rainy day the whole place was extremely busy and we joined a queue to get a table for two. This was all worth it and the Maitre who was on the door was up and down apologising for keeping people waiting and the table was clearing and laid again swiftly. The service from then on was very friendly and efficient and the pizza were of very high quality. At no time in spite of the turnover of people did we feel hurried and we enjoyed our coffee and dessert at leisure. Full marks to La Tagliatella once again.

The best Italian restaurant. Meats, fishes, shrimps and so on are great! Pasta and sauces ... mmm .... splendid! Also taste deserts: tiramisu and truffles. They are excellent!
