Eaten at La Taiga twice this season, having come across on the Navette bus from Courchevel (it is directly opposite the bus stop . The menu is a mixture of traditional French style cuisine, with the usual Savoyard raclette/tartiflette cheese based dishes for the holiday skiers....(We were amused to read the idiot 1* review who complained that an Alpine restaurant smelt of cooked cheese! . The wine list is surprisingly varied and interesting. Having seen many restaurants of this type/standard disappear from neighbouring Courchevel, as they go either down market to be pizza/tartiflette joints, or go ludicrously expensive in competing for the Russian oligarch market, it is nice to see this one...
We went there for drinks around 11pm on a Tuesday. The bar was empty but we were a group of 12 so not big issue for us as we were looking for a place to chat and have a bit of a dance. It seems...staff was about to close when we arrived and they were not very keen on having us there. We ordered a drink which we couldn't wait to finish to leave the place. There aren't that many bars in La Tania so it is a shame the only few available have quite an unwelcoming vibe.
charming place, welcoming staff even if you have to speak English (it's better)..In the evening, music and concert: very noisy. Keeping a conversation is complicated, like in a nightclub. Excellent and popular hangout for eating and drinking in La Tania. It has a restaurant on the upper level and a lively bar on the lower level with live music most if not every night. Very palatable food, fairly lively on the night we visited...and at a reasonable price.

Good little bar downstairs and small restaurant upstairs. Classic Alps food. Go for hot rock and a raclette. And chuck in a fondue while you are there. Prices aren't crazy. Good service on the whole from mainly British staff. Some great (Hamish) some not so great.
Nice atmosphere in this restaurant. I had beef carpaccio for starters - I wouldn't recommend as it lacked flavour in my opinion. I had fillet steak for main and it was delicious as were the accompanying potato and vegetables.
Great restaurant and bar that we were recommended for our chalet hosts night off. Had the three course meal which was epic. Definitely recommend visiting whilst in La Tania.
on Sunday, 6 March, I had a really nice meal here. service was good. lamdie and duck were beautiful. more reasonable price. would recommend. will be back.

Coped well with large groups (12) and provided good food, served well from a pretty extensive menu.Wine also reasonably priced.
