Eaten at La Taiga twice this season, having come across on the Navette bus from Courchevel (it is directly opposite the bus stop . The menu is a mixture of traditional French style cuisine, with the usual Savoyard raclette/tartiflette cheese based dishes for the holiday skiers....(We were amused to read the idiot 1* review who complained that an Alpine restaurant smelt of cooked cheese! . The wine list is surprisingly varied and interesting. Having seen many restaurants of this type/standard disappear from neighbouring Courchevel, as they go either down market to be pizza/tartiflette joints, or go ludicrously expensive in competing for the Russian oligarch market, it is nice to see this one...
We went there for drinks around 11pm on a Tuesday. The bar was empty but we were a group of 12 so not big issue for us as we were looking for a place to chat and have a bit of a dance. It seems...staff was about to close when we arrived and they were not very keen on having us there. We ordered a drink which we couldn't wait to finish to leave the place. There aren't that many bars in La Tania so it is a shame the only few available have quite an unwelcoming vibe.
As with other comments, we were advised to go here when our hotel staff had their night off! We had to book and the place was packed. Orders were quickly taken but the food was very slow to arrive. We waited almost 50 mins for...the first course to arrive. having said that, the atmosphere was buzzing and the food was excellent. Well worth a try, especially if you can avoid the 'staff night off ' days.
on Sunday evening to dinner. very disappointed. had escargots and some were off tasted mold. then steak, that was the end of the filets, and tasted not good. others had the lammage that was too big. my man was gloomy...too much different from what was described! felte, that was overpriced for what it was and would not be pushed back.

Excellent and popular hangout for eating and drinking in La Tania. It has a restaurant on the upper level and a lively bar on the lower level with live music most if not every night. Very palatable food, fairly lively on the night we visited...and at a reasonable price.
Great restaurant and bar that we were recommended for our chalet hosts night off. Had the three course meal which was epic. Definitely recommend visiting whilst in La Tania.
on Sunday, 6 March, I had a really nice meal here. service was good. lamdie and duck were beautiful. more reasonable price. would recommend. will be back.
great food and service. our steaks were cooked to perfection. we regularly come in the season especially Tuesday evening when the freddy finger sings ls.
