We were hitting some of the great cafes and bars in the wonderful Plaza De Las Comendadoras and decided to drop into La Taqueria De Birra and what a great find. The interior is amazing,purple neon lit,it has great wall art,nice decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this cool Mexican tavern both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Plaza De Las Comendadoras. We visited on a scorching hot Saturday afternoon, seeking a refreshing beer. We opted for bottles of Modelo beer, which were served perfectly cold and bubbly by a friendly staff member. We relaxed and enjoyed the ambiance of the bar and plaza. Modelo beer, a recognizable Mexican brand, is a light and hoppy lager bursting with flavor - a beer style that I truly enjoy. La Taqueria De Birra is a popular spot, as evidenced by the bustling crowd during our visit. Despite our short stay, we had a great time, as we always do at this bar. The food at the restaurant was delicious, but I didn't feel very welcomed. Even though there was nobody else inside, I was told I couldn't sit at a table because it was reserved for four people. I was the only customer the whole time I was there and wasn't offered anything else to eat or drink. It's a nice place, but I probably won't return or recommend it to others because of my experience.

No es un templo de la comida mexicana y menos ahora que hay ese boom de alta cocina, pero es un gran sitio para comer buena comida mejicana a buen precio. Sorprende que en esa ubicación tan fantástica, se coma tan bien, a tan buen precio y que a pesar de estar a tope, atiendan bien. Muy recomendable

Good and broad range of Mexican food. Prices are fair. Two hickups during our visit: 1. we ordered a glass of wine that never came despite multiple reminders, 2. said glass was charged twice on the bill. I really hope that it was a misfortunate incident and that service is usually more efficient.

This place had really great food. I don 't remember what we ordered but the waiter recommended several dishes and they were all delicious! This place isn 't yet on the radar of some Madrid 's Best Mexican Restaurants article yet, but I assure you that it 's right up there!

I liked the location and the atmosphere of the surroundings. Good tacos and excellent guacamole for cheap prices. Perfect in spring or summer evenings in lovely Malasana.

the best hole in the wine bar. big weine and ambiente. so glad we found it especially, as it was two doors from our airbnb. they offer light.

fantastic wine bar, excellent choice. super cozy and intimate, so take a set early or make them a reservation. more natural wee!
