We spent 6 nights in Bellver de Cerdanya and ate at La Tasca three times. Our first visit wason a Sunday afternoon for drinks and tapas. Despite our language problems, we were able to communicate well enough to ask if La Tasca served Paella. We were told paella was usually on the menu one day each week, but this week the restuarant would be closed that day for a national holiday. We were very disappointed, but after a few minutes, a staff member returned to our table and said they would specially prepare paella for us two days later at 4:00 p.m. if we wanted to order it. We were delighted with their offer and returned at the specified time. The paella was delicious, and very inexpensive compared to what it cost at home in the U.S. (only 10 Euros for each of us) My husband noticed that La Tasca had hamburgers on their menu in the evenings after 8:30 p.m., and on our last night in Bellver de Cerdanya he decided he wanted to return to La Tasca for a hamburger. They had about 8 or 10 different hamburgers on the menu, but because of our language problems we couldn 't really tell the difference between the different hamburgers, so we ordered we couldn 't go wrong by ordering the La Tasca hamburger. We certainly made the right decision. The hamburger was huge so big we had to eat it with a knife and fork a new experience for Americans! And it was wonderful. If we had stayed longer in Bellver de Cerdanya, we would have certainly returned again to La Tasca. During each of our visits we found the staff to be friendly and efficient, the food very good and reasonably priced, and the restaurant was clean and attractive. This is not a fancy restaurant and the patrons appeared to be primarily locals including both young people and families with children. We recommend La Tasca to anyone visiting Bellver de Cerdanya.
La Tasca is located in the center of Bellver de Cerdanya. It is a mixture of a pub and a restaurant. The palace is very popular and crowded. I ordered a double Tasca burger which was the biggest and tallest burger I had so far. The service was very polite and efficient. This is definitely the right place to get a high quality burger on a budget cost.
