The restaurant service we received was probably one of the worst I have ever experienced! We arrived at 8 and shortly after our waitress took our order, but forgot to put it through. We waited for an hour without any drinks or starters! When our order was finally put through, our starters and mains came out at the same time after 45 minutes, with not enough room on the table. The waitress also forgot to take our dessert order at the beginning, and after our mains, she informed us that two desserts on the set menu were sold out. It took an additional 20 minutes to sort out the dessert situation. When we were ready to pay, she took one card payment and then started taking another table's payme...
My wife and I arrived 5 minutes early for our booking. Which apparently hadn't been made. Fortunately there was just 11 other people in the restaurant when we arrived. We were shown to a table where we were ignored for the next 30 minutes. I was literally about to leave when a waiter arrived to take our drinks order. In the 30 minutes since we had arrived other tables had been seated had orders taken and were in fact tucking in to their starters. We ordered drinks and food. I had a disappointing experience at La Tasca Bath. The service was terrible; our food didn't arrive until an hour and ten minutes after we ordered, which is quite unacceptable for a tapas restaurant. Despite the staff assuring us that the manager would come to speak with us, he never did. It wasn't even that busy at the time. While the food was decent, the overall experience was ruined by the slow service and the lack of communication unless I inquired. They eventually offered us a complimentary bottle of wine, which was a nice gesture, but the damage was already done. The menu simply couldn't make up for the poor service.

day dinner with friends and an attempt to unravel the secrets of the tapas. very simple, the 4 of us divided 12 dishes, consisting of a lot of food. a lot for everyone and entertaining. the waitresses were Spanish and very pleasant and helpful, although with my friends bristolian humor had some hardships. only at the bottom was a slight lack of atmosphere where not many people attended. the venue itself is very beautiful and a few customers would have created a better ambiente.

The chrizo we ordered was served with the casing still on which made it very tough to eat. The tortilla was served cold rather than hot which is the norm. The tapas potions seem to be getting smaller. All in all, a very disappointing experience following a pleasant visit to the theatre.
Easy, central location, well spaced tables, excellent service and prompt attention Friday night had live music this was too loud for meeting up with friends and chatting over tapas and good red wine; needed to be more background atmosphere level, not belting out songs! Food wine service compensated for this negative, mostly.

the food and cocktails were good. the service was quite poor. the food took one because to come, and for some reason they have always eaten and brought drinks to other tables and things that we have not ordered to ours.
