do not let the unusual purple/pink color of the building settle, probably so that they can not miss it near a circular road from auray to pontivy. we have been passing for years, always in a hurry, but always noticed... so here we are, we have done it and were beautifully surprised by the warm interior, also with a log fire (previously januar, perhaps not in agust). starter for me was a simple but good mozzarella tomatensalat. followed by brittle wine. the duchesse had a roasted saucisse breton as the main course that was excellent. my dessert was brilliant with a caramel sauce and a boule vanilla ice cream cream on top. yum yum! my menu was at E18.50, which I thought was a good one. service...
Unreliable - it is painted that the shadow of purple/mauve you get when cream and black johannisbeer are mixed together! on the outskirts of baud, on a road, but with a shaded garden for hot summer days as well as an attractive interieur, la taverne is led by man and...Frau team titi and jojo. Jojo is in front of the house, titi köche. eating is excellent: good French cuisine, and titi also makes a medium pizza. jojo speaks good restaurant English and our greeting is always warm and friendly. chips do not appear in the menu for adult, but ask only if they want a few with their steak!
la taverne is one of our favorite local restaurants also with its new neon purple outer! we've been here for many years, but since the move in the opposite, we've been passing less often. it was a joy to come back a few days ago and to taste us 18,50 euro tri-course menu its new one. the standard of cooking and presentation by his man and his wife cooking professional always stays high and the greeting is as warm as ever.
We ate outside under trees not cold at all. We both had the 25 € menu which gave us access to 3 course meal with comprehensive choice. Food presentation was excellent compliments to the chef. Very pleasant staff serving at tables. A good find...between Baud Camors. Would highly recommend it.
