Three of us visited this restaurant on the square opp the Marie. The reviews that we read seemed to indicate that the steaks were good . We ordered three streaks and all three were not cooked to our liking , the chips were very soggy and the plate was made even more unpalatable by having salad on the plate with the steak put on top . The bread was sliced white , ( one of us went out to our car to fetch a crusty French Stick we had brought that morning ) The coffee was cold and the bill was €138 which was way over the top for such a very mediocre meal .
Arrived in Ardres just after noon on a Saturday, looking for a quick-ish but good lunch before the crossing home. Kate's did just that. Two of us went for house pizzas (some interesting mixes of toppings), that were pretty authentic to good Italian pizza in the cooking - no soggy bottoms here! A salmon pasta and grilled salmon completed the one-course meal, and for a reasonable bill.Next time, perhaps we'll take a later crossing, and stay a little longer!
Well eaten, cooking meat as we had asked, good service but a duck cold in the restaurant we had to keep his jacket!!! ... We thought it would make warmer in the restaurant rather than in the veranda ... ben no !
By the way in the corner, super welcome, super nice bosses, delicious meal, after dinner party laughing, to recommend
