La Taverne - Reservar una mesa

Sadly, the restaurant was closed for the first part of our stay I say sadly because we would have eaten here more than once!!! It was very full, so we were glad we booked (it was a Saturday! we sat on a small terrace, looking out over the trees which line the river. And we had a really good dinner! I had the duck and my wife had a good looking piece of cod both very good meals. It was washed down with a very reasonably priced Saint Emilion the wine list was actually very interesting and had very few ridiculous prices!!!! Overall an enjoyable meal with good service and a good atmosphere. I would say that this is one of the best restaurants in Aubeterre.

Four of us had an evening meal here. Definitely need to pre-book this venue as it is very popular. The food we had was served beautifully and very tasty. We had various dishes ranging from a prawn starter to fish of the day and fillet of beef. The photographs I have attached, don’t really do the food justice! Highly recommend this venue to sit on a warm summers evening and watch the world go by.

Came here while visiting family in the area. Had a lovely evening and were looked after extremely well by Lillie who was more than able to cope with my wife's food intolerances and was charming throughout. The food was great as was the drink and the family had a thoroughly enjoyable experience at La Taverne Maison Pierre Very, sat outside and making the most of the good weather.

Lovely meal in a great setting for 8 (6 family 2 friends). Great food, great beer, great service. Make sure you book as it gets busy. Service not lightening quick but is like that everywhere, if you don’t like it don’t go to France.

Each year we try to stop at this lovely place. The food and atmosphere are great. This year was no exception! See you next year.
