We were recommended to go to this restaurant by the agent from whom we hired an apartment in the village of La Zarza. The farm is located just a mile or so south of the village but is easily missed if you are not clear about its location. Turning off the main road you descend a steep track and then drive up to the farm. There are no signs to indicate when you reach the restaurant just turn right in a gap between the buildings and you come into a courtyard and then drive through to the car park. Around the car park there are various pens where you can see the goats and cattle which could form the basis of someone's lunch later on! We received a warm welcome from the staff but be warned that they only speak Spanish so mug up on a bit of the language before your visit if you are not a fluent Spanish speaker. The restaurant serves produce from the farm and specialises in goat meat (cabra and black pig (cochino negro both of which we ate. I also had the delicious house salad (ensalada ecologica made from their organic vegetables, fruit and leaves. The meats were served in huge portions and actually each would have served two persons they were tender and delicious and we accompanied them with the fried potatoes which were beautifully crisp. This is NOT a restaurant for vegetarians as far as I can see you would be limited to the salad (which included goats' cheese so vegans can forget it! and the desserts. We were too full after the meat dishes to try the desserts. There is outside seating as well as tables in the building. Even in December we sat outside where there are views over the valley and the farm. Many of the customers were local residents reflecting the quality and local cuisine. This is quite different from any tourist restaurant and is not to be missed

Just fabulous. So happy we drove up to this magical little place. The food was fantastic. Everything was homemade and delicious. Wonderful cheeses made on the farm to start with and the best croquettas we have ever eaten. We had the black pig and vegetables for main with the crunchiest sautéed potatoes. We drank a carafe of beautiful local white wine from Candelaria and the homemade pineapple cake was sweet and fresh. We ate outside with the most beautiful sunset and pink moon. We also visited all the animals on the farm which absolutely made the kids night. Simplicity and nature at its very best. Thank you for a wonderful evening. We can’t wait to come back!

Don't be put off by the randomness of the location and the mad road to get there. The food and service were tremendous (although we had to go with the proprietor's recommendations in the absence of a menu, and had no idea of cost). Nonetheless, the pork rib and stewed goat were outstanding, as were the potatoes, salad, cheese and drinks. Really worth the effort. €28 total. Incredible value for such good food.

Incredible local dishes and very homely feeling in the most rural restaurant we visited during our stay in Tenerife. Rural in the sense of the insane road connecting the place to the outside world. The dishes where very meaty and extremely tasteful juicy slow cooked goat dish and grilled pork!
