La Veracruzana - Reserva de mesa

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and were pleasantly surprised. When we arrived, there was no staff in sight except at the counter. We placed our order quickly and were seated by a friendly gentleman who served our drinks promptly. The food was freshly prepared and served quickly, with generous portions that tasted delicious. The prices were reasonable as well. The only downside was that the ambiance of the restaurant was not entirely comfortable, so we deduct one star for that. I recently had lunch while traveling from Moab to Salt Lake City and stopped at this restaurant. I ordered the pork carnitas plate and it was excellent. The green chile sauce was the best I've ever had, and I've tried a lot. The service was quick and friendly. This isn't a fancy restaurant, but it offers good Mexican food at a reasonable price. I would rate the service and food a 5, and the atmosphere a 4. Recommended dishes include enchiladas, cheese, chicken, beef, ground and shredded. Meal type: Lunch. Price per person: $10–20.

They specialize in tamales, which were good. The pork tamales had a good filling-to-masa ratio. They were good on their own, the accompanying sauce wasn't necessary. Says they close at 9 but the lock doors by 8:50 dont answer the phone and waved us off turn off the lights and didn’t have enough courtesy to open the door an let us know they close early . Very rude staff Reserva una mesa ahora

The restaurant offers a basic Tex-Mex style menu. The red sauce on the enchiladas tasted similar to Old El Paso brand. The prices were expensive compared to the quality of the food.
