We didn't try the restaurant but the hotel! We were pleasantly surprised. Located in an annex on the cemetery side, we had an attic room with 2 views: one towards the footbridge and a splendid view of the bay from the large bathroom window! The room was a respectable size for a building of this age! Excellent bedding! We were able to leave our bags in the luggage storage when we arrived and when we left so as not to be cluttered. We had been warned that there would be stairs to access the annex and the bedroom (no large bulky suitcase). Johana at reception was really friendly and available. Winter period: The restaurant is rather filled (except outdoor We were 2 and had taken Marian mussels, they were at the taste of our expectations, the fries unfortunately not homemade and dry. For dessert 2 pancakes: an apple, almond and caramel rather good even if the pancakes in itself were a bit soft and spongy, they were weird in industrial compoty. Then a flambée crêpe that she was very good, she was on vanilla ice and then flambéed with Grand Marnier (before me in addition, I do not advise you to go there in winter if you already doubt if you will eat at Mount Saint Michel!
Of course, like all these restaurants on the hyper-tourist sites, we know we're going to pay the frame. And it is. We were able to eat there early enough (before 12h, then it's crowded! . The service is fast. The very professional young woman has clearly grasped the poor quality of other servers. She really messed up in the middle of the others. Flat level is correct without more. But it was run ahead of Mont St Michel. I advise you to other places less eye-catching like Le Tripot.
I stayed in this hotel, I think it has the best view of Mont-Saint-Michel. The view is more than perfect. The location of the rooms is a luxury, I had a more than incredible experience. I totally recommend staying on Mont-Saint-Michel, and especially in this hotel. The rooms are very good and clean and we sleep very well. I validate and recommend 100%.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à l'hôtel La vieille Auberge. Nous avons découvert avec plaisir une belle petite chambre donnant sur une superbe vue sur la baie du Mont Saint Michel. C'était parfait !

Nous sommes rentré malgré les avis négatif,parce qu'il y avait un peu de place et que le Mont Saint Michel était noir de monde ce jour.... Et bien le repas était correct,les serveurs également.
